Justice Qazi Faez Isa took oath as the 29th Chief Justice of Pakistan

On Sunday, Justice Qazi Faez Isa took the oath necessary to become Pakistan’s 29th chief justice (CJP).

Interim Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir attended the ceremony at the President House in Islamabad when President Dr. Arif Alvi administered the oath of office to CJP Faez.

As the announcement of his appointment was made, Justice Isa’s wife Sarina Isa stood to either side of him. His tenure as CJP will last 13 months, from October 25, 2024, until October 25, 2025.

Notably, Justice Isa follows Iftikhar Chaudhry as the second Chief Justice of Pakistan from Balochistan.
