CJP appoints first ever female registrar of Supreme Court

The Supreme Court Pakistan has apponited a Judicial Officer – Ma’am Jazeela Aslam (District judge Okara) as first female Registrar of Supreme Court of Pakistan .

On Sunday, Okara Additional District and Sessions Judge Jazeela Aslam was named the first female Supreme Court Registrar in Pakistan by Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa.
ADSJ Jazeela, a mother of three, graduated with honours from Kinnaird College, went on to earn her LLB from Punjab University, and finished in second place in the Punjab judicial competitive test.
She worked as a deputy solicitor before joining the Punjab Judicial Service in May 1994 as a civil judge/judicial magistrate.
The most senior female district and sessions judge in Punjab is ADSJ Jazeela.

Jazeela Aslam, who has previously held district and sessions judge positions in Okara, Kasur, and Sialkot, adds a wealth of judicial expertise to her new position. She enjoys the distinction of being Punjab’s most senior female district and sessions judge. In 1994, she began her professional career as a civil judge and judicial magistrate. As the director of academics at the Punjab Judicial Academy and a lecturer at the Federal Judicial Academy, she has also made contributions to legal education. She has also worked as a deputy solicitor and a solicitor.
