Sindh is the only province in the country lacking rule of law and justice.
A case was recently highlighted on social media in which an advocate was wildly assaulted by police in the presence and influence of an assistant commissioner. The sad part of the story is that the advocate was crying for first aid and asking for speedy treatment of blood shading out of his face. If an educated and law-abiding person is treated this way, how an ordinary or common person would be treated in Sindh by police officers be crystal clear?
The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court has the authority to take Suo Moto notice of such a high-profile case violating human rights law, which is actually a fundamental right protected by the highest authoritative body, but I am concerned about the province’s current state of lawlessness.
As a result, the Sindh high court, chief minister, and law enforcement agencies should take notice and establish rules for all civil servants who take the law into their own hands, as well as sentence necessary punishment, to ensure that the rule of law prevails in the province and the constitutional rights of all citizens are not jeopardized.
