Judicial Commission of Pakistan to Meet on December 6 for High Court of Sindh Judge Appointments

 

The Judicial Commission of Pakistan, under the chairmanship of Honorable Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mr. Justice Yahya Afridi, will hold a critical meeting on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 3:00 PM. The purpose of the meeting is to consider the nominations for appointment as judges to the High Court of Sindh.

 

The following individuals have been nominated for the esteemed positions:

 

1. Mr. Suresh Kumar

2. Mr. Khalid Hussain Shahani

3. Mr. Obaid Ur Rehman Khan

4. Mr. Rafiq Ahmed Kalwar

5. Ms. Umaimah Anwar Khan

6. Mr. Muhammad Osman Ali Hadi

7. Mr. Muhammad Umar Lakhani

8. Mr. Mansoor Ali Ghangro

9. Mr. Parkash Kumar

10. Mr. Zeeshan Abdullah

11. Mr. Muhammad Zeeshan Adhi

12. Mr. Muhammad Jaffer Raza

 

The meeting, set to take place at the Supreme Court of Pakistan’s Conference Room in Islamabad, will review these nominations before proceeding with the formal appointments. The Chief Justice of the High Court of Sindh has also submitted a detailed letter in support of the candidates. Other relevant materials will be made available in the coming days.

 

This meeting holds significant importance as it will decide the future composition of the High Court of Sindh, a key judicial body in Pakistan’s legal system.
