Supreme Court of Pakistan to Hear Sui Gas Company Appeal on October 24, 2024

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has scheduled a hearing for the Sui Gas Company and the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) regarding their appeal against a significant ruling by the Balochistan High Court. The appeal will be heard on October 24, 2024, following the June 13, 2024, decision that provided substantial relief to consumers in Balochistan concerning their gas bills.

Syed Nazir Agha, the advocate representing the affected parties, has left for Islamabad in preparation for the case. He emphasizes his commitment to defending the Balochistan High Court’s ruling and has urged the people of Balochistan to pray for a favorable outcome.

A three-member bench of the Supreme Court will conduct the hearing, which could have significant implications for gas consumers in the region.
