CJP Empowers Registrar: Delegation of Authority in Key Matters, PAC in Focus

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa has assigned various administrative powers to the Supreme Court registrar. As per an official notification, the registrar will be fully authorized in matters related to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC). The decision of the registrar on issues concerning the PAC will be subject to the approval of the full court or the chief justice.

The registrar will handle affairs related to the Audit and Departmental Accounts Committee with the approval of the top judge. Furthermore, the annual budget plan of the apex court will be concluded with the chief justice’s approval. In other developments, the Supreme Court has issued a cause list for the upcoming week, forming five benches to hear significant cases.
