The High Court of Balochistan has issued a new set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) aimed at strengthening discipline, access control, and the use of internet facilities within the court establishment. The directives, approved by the Hon’ble Chief Justice, strictly regulate entry into court branches, limiting access only to individuals with genuine official work. Branch incharges have been made fully accountable for any violation of these rules.
According to the notification, all Wi-Fi routers installed across court branches will be removed immediately, except those in the chambers of the Hon’ble Judges and the Registrar’s office. The Registrar, Nasir Khan Yousafzai, instructed that internet connectivity will now be provided through a wired network. Additionally, official Wi-Fi passwords in judges’ offices are to be changed and must not be shared, with Private Secretaries responsible for ensuring strict official use only.
The SOPs also emphasize workplace discipline, prohibiting unnecessary conversations, mobile phone use, and informal gatherings during official hours. Employees have been directed to strictly follow office timings, while branch incharges must ensure full implementation of the new rules in both letter and spirit.
