Strike in District and High Court of Sindh

Lawyers closed the District Court of Karachi and Malir gates, not only stopping the public and litigants from entering but also stopping lawyers at some places to entered the court premises. All Lawyer forums announced strike at 19th and 20th May against Malir District and Session judge, Justice Sadaf Khokar which eventually had now included Chief Justice High Court of Sindh, Justice Ahmed Ali M. sheikh.

An unreliable source informs that the conflict began in Malir Court, where Justice Sadaf Khokar started imposing restrictions on Lawyers, the RO Plant was stopped for usage and now some person is rumored to be selling the water bottle from the same plant. The Court premises which had been considered the authority of Bar was also kept under the instructions of Justice. There were multiple complaints to the Bar regarding the behavior of Justices and its due to these complaints the Malir Bar Association took the stand to transfer the Justices for her incorporative Bar.

on 17th May Malir Bar Association took stand and when they went to Sindh High Court chief Justice to consider their grievance, he denied the same and did not paid any heed therefore Malir Bar Association Approach all forums including Sindh Bar Council, Sindh High Court Bar Association and Karachi Bar Association. The Associations had took the stand together and have only demand to take action against District and Session Judge Malir and Chief Justice Sindh High Court.

Despite the grievances from many lawyers there stand few which are in support of the Justices. Complementing her fair and Justness in making decision. And denying the allegations of incooperative behavior.
