Petrol Bomb Attack at Advocate Azhar Siddique House

On Thursday, At the home of Advocate Azhar Siddique, four unidentified individuals on two motorcycles fired three shots and two petrol bombs.

The attackers emerged in front of the house at 1:30 am on April 13 in DHA phase IV, Lahore, and stopped their bikes at the left and right sides of the house, according to CCTV footage made available to The Express Tribune. Two of the riders can be seen getting off their motorcycles, approaching the front gate, and hurling two petrol bombs into the residence. A third man can be seen shooting three shots that strike the structure and destroy one window.

According to Advocate Siddique, he was sleeping prior to the attack. He added that “three bullets were fired; one bullet hit the front wall where my daughter was, and one bullet entered the sitting area breaking through the window,” saying “My daughter was awake when the assailants attacked my residence.”

However, he emphasized that “such cowardly moves could not stop me from standing by the Supreme Court of Pakistan and PTI Chairman Imran Khan.” He voiced suspicion that the attack was motivated by his support for “the supremacy of law.”

Pakistan Bar Council with notification dated 15th April, 2023 condemned the attack on the Advocate and demanded for Law enforcement agencies to conduct proper investigation regarding the matter so that culprit be punished as soon as possible
