Karachi Bar Association Elects New Officials and Managing Committee Members

 

Karachi, December 2024: The Karachi Bar Association (KBA) has successfully conducted its elections for the newly elected office-bearers and members of the Managing Committee. The results were announced after a competitive race among the 49 candidates vying for positions within the association.

 

The newly elected officials are as follows:

 

– President: Mr. Aamir Nawaz Waraich

– Vice President: Mr. Kazim Hussain Mahesar

– General Secretary: Mr. Rehman Korai

– Joint Secretary: Mr. Imran Aziz

– Treasurer: Mr. Amar HaseebUllah Panhwar

– Librarian: Mr. Riaz Ahmed Sabzoi

 

In addition to the office-bearers, the following individuals have secured seats on the Managing Committee based on their vote counts:

 

1. Zakir Ali Balouch (S.No: 49) – 2108 Votes

2. Arifa Pirzada (S.No: 12) – 2094 Votes

3. Waqar Hussain Cheema (S.No: 47) – 1552 Votes

4. Ashfaqe Ahmed Buriro(S.No: 26) – 1476 Votes

5. Maryam Bibi (S.No: 29) – 1444 Votes

6 Sheeraz Hussain Shar (S.No: 44) – 1436 Votes

7. Ali Hussain Sargana(S.No: 7) – 1408 Votes

8. Allah Wadhayo Narejo (S.No: 8) – 1401 Votes

9. Muzammil Qureshi (S.No: 34) – 1360 Votes

10. Amjad Ali Shabrani (S.No: 11) – 1351 Votes

11. Naseer Ahmed Panhwar(S.No: 37) – 1286 Votes

 

Out of the 49 candidates who participated in the election, these 11 individuals have successfully secured their positions in the Managing Committee, based on the highest vote counts. This election has brought forward a team that promises to work towards the betterment of the legal community and the city of Karachi.

 

The new leadership will now take over the responsibility of overseeing the affairs of the Karachi Bar Association, which plays a pivotal role in shaping the legal framework and upholding the rights of lawyers and citizens alike.
