Supreme Judicial Commission of Pakistan to Hold Meeting for Nomination of Chief Justice of Sindh High Court on 2nd July

Islamabad, 27 June 2024 – The Supreme Judicial Commission of Pakistan has announced that a meeting will be held on Tuesday, 2nd July 2024, to consider the nomination for the position of Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court. The meeting will take place at 3 pm in the Conference Room of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, located on Constitution Avenue in Islamabad.

According to the notification issued by the Supreme Court, the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan and Chairman of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan has scheduled this meeting to discuss the nomination of the Acting Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court, along with the two judges next in seniority, for the position of Chief Justice.

The decision to convene this meeting underscores the importance of the appointment process and the need to ensure that the Sindh High Court continues to function under capable leadership.
