SC India Heard Petition for repealing Article 370, recognition of Jammu and Kashmir

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court of India continued to hear petitions urging the repeal of Article 370.
The Supreme Court’s five-judge panel, which included Chief Justice of India , observed that the reorganization of Jammu and Kashmir’s division was no different from that of other Indian states that had also through the same operation.

The Supreme Court of India remarked that the reconfiguration of the state was not “one of a kind” as was pointed out by Solicitor General Tushar Mehta on the twelfth day of hearing petitions contesting the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019 conferring special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
