In a statement, the office-bearers of the Quetta Bar Association announced their support for the strike and directed lawyers to refrain from appearing before courts. The association stated that the decision was taken to safeguard the lives and property of lawyers and to avoid any untoward incidents. It also urged the government to address the concerns raised by the business community and provide relief to the public.

The strike was called by traders and transporters following a rise in attacks on vehicles carrying minerals across the province. According to reports, dozens of trucks transporting minerals have been set on fire in different districts, causing losses worth millions of rupees. Business organizations demanded improved security for commercial transport and effective measures to protect trade activities in Balochistan.
