Young Lawyers of Quetta Bar Association Complete Intensive Five-Day Legal Training Programme

A comprehensive five-day training programme for young lawyers of the Quetta Bar Association concluded on Friday after providing participants with extensive exposure to practical and procedural aspects of legal practice. Conducted from June 1 to 5, the programme featured lectures, discussions, and interactive sessions aimed at enhancing the professional competence of young members of the legal fraternity.

The programme brought together an eminent panel of trainers, including former Supreme Court Judge Hon’ble Mr. Justice Faisal Arab, former Sindh High Court Judge Hon’ble Mr. Justice Hassan Feroz, former District and Sessions Judges Mr. Javed Ahmed Keerio and Ms. Aaliya Latif, serving judicial officers, senior advocates, and legal experts. Participants received training on criminal trials, Sections 491 and 22-A Cr.P.C., pre-arrest and post-arrest bail, family law, civil court trials, the Guardian and Wards Act, execution proceedings, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), the Qanun-e-Shahadat Order, 1984, legal ethics, courtroom etiquette, advocacy skills, and the art of cross-examination. The programme also included a visit to a forensic laboratory to familiarize participants with the role of forensic science in modern litigation and criminal investigations.

 

The concluding session was addressed by Hon’ble Mrs. Justice Rashida Asad, former Judge of the High Court of Sindh and Director General of the Sindh Judicial Academy. Emphasizing the importance of professional excellence, ethical advocacy, and continuous legal education, she encouraged young lawyers to strengthen their knowledge and skills in order to effectively serve the administration of justice. Certificates were distributed among the participants upon successful completion of the programme, followed by a group photograph.
