Quetta Bar Association members Urges President to Constitute Anti-Narcotics Committee

The Quetta Bar Association has issued a notification calling upon its President to consider the formation of a dedicated Anti-Narcotics Committee in light of growing concerns over drug use within the legal community. The move reflects increasing awareness about the harmful impact of narcotics on professional conduct and the overall environment of the Bar.

According to the notification, the proposed committee’s purpose would be to **discourage and prevent the use, possession, and circulation of narcotics within bar premises**, promote awareness among members, and coordinate with relevant authorities where necessary. It is also intended to help maintain discipline and ensure that the legal fraternity upholds its ethical and professional standards.

The Association has emphasized the need for timely action and collective responsibility, urging members to support this initiative once constituted. The proposed step is seen as part of broader efforts to promote a safe, responsible, and drug-free environment within the Bar.
