Election Commissioner Submits funding report to SC registrar office

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday delivered a report in Sealed Envelope to the Supreme Court (SC) on whether the government has supplied the funding to hold elections in Punjab in accordance with the deadline set by the Court.
According to Judgement the Government has to transfer the fund of 20 crore in Election Commission office Accounts by 10th of April and the report has to be submitted by 11th of April
Election funding has not yet been distributed by the government, which has instead submitted the subject to Parliament. Legislators will meet again on Thursday after the bill was submitted to a standing committee.
