Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah Sworn in as Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan

Honorable Mr. Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah was sworn in as Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan today at a ceremony held in the Supreme Court, Islamabad. The oath was administered by Honorable Mr. Justice Munib Akhtar.

 

Justice Shah will serve as Acting Chief Justice during the overseas visit of Chief Justice Yahya Afridi.

The ceremony was attended by:

– Judges of the Supreme Court

– The Attorney General of Pakistan

– Senior lawyers

– Officials from the Law & Justice Commission

 

Syed Zakria Ali Shah, Additional Registrar (Administration) of the Supreme Court, conducted the proceedings. Court staff and officers were also present.

 

Justice Shah, known for his expertise in constitutional law and human rights, has been an influential figure in Pakistan’s judiciary. His appointment ensures continuity in the Supreme Court’s operations.
