Judicial Commission of Pakistan announces 12 nominees for additional judges in Sindh High Court

Islamabad, Pakistan – January 23, 2025 – The Judicial Commission of Pakistan convened today at the Supreme Court in Islamabad to discuss the appointment of Additional Judges for the High Court of Sindh. Following the meeting, a total of 12 candidates have been nominated for the position.

Nominees for Additional Judges:

  1. Ms. Tasneem Sultana, District and Sessions Judge (DSJ)
  2. Mr. Khalid Hussain Shahani, DSJ
  3. Mr. Miran Muhammad Shah, Advocate Supreme Court
  4. Mr. Abdul Hamid Bhurgri, Advocate Supreme Court
  5. Mr. Ali Haider Ada, Advocate
  6. Mr. Jan Ali Junejo, Advocate Supreme Court
  7. Mr. Muhammad Hasan (Akber), Advocate General Sindh
  8. Mr. Muhammad Jaffer Raza, Advocate Supreme Court
  9. Mr. Muhammad Osman Ali Hadi, Advocate Supreme Court
  10. Mr. Nisar Ahmed Bhanbhro, Advocate Supreme Court
  11. Mr. Riazat Ali Sahar, Advocate Supreme Court
  12. Syed Fiaz ul Hassan Shah, Advocate Supreme Court

These nominees will be considered for the position of Additional Judges for the High Court of Sindh, following a thorough review process.

In addition to the nominations, the Judicial Commission of Pakistan also announced an extension to the term of the Judges of the Constitutional Benches of the High Court of Sindh. Their tenure has been extended for another six months, ensuring the continuity of important constitutional matters before the court.

This development marks an important step in strengthening the judiciary in Sindh, as these appointments and extensions seek to address the increasing need for judicial efficiency and expertise in the region.
