Karachi: The Cabinet of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) met with Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, to discuss the allocation of a plot for the construction of a Supreme Court Lawyers Hostel in Karachi. The meeting was held at the Chief Minister’s House and aimed at enhancing facilities for legal professionals in the region.

The SCBA Cabinet was led by President Mr. Shahzad Shoukat and Secretary Mr. Ali Imran. They were joined by Sindh’s Minister for Law and Home, Mr. Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar, Mayor of Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab, and Mr. Qazi M. Bashir, President of the Pakistan Lawyers Forum (PLF) Sindh.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Shah warmly welcomed the guests and presented them with traditional Sindhi Ajrak, symbolizing the rich cultural heritage of the region. The discussions focused on the importance of establishing the hostel to support lawyers, particularly those traveling from outside Karachi, and to provide them with a conducive environment for their legal work.

The initiative reflects the government’s commitment to supporting the legal community and ensuring that advocates have the necessary facilities to perform their duties effectively. Further developments regarding the plot allocation and construction plans are anticipated as discussions continue.
