ANNOUNCEMENT OF PROTEST AND LONG MARCH BY LEGAL COMMUNITY

 

Karachi, October 10, 2024 – In response to a serious threat to judicial independence, members of the legal community, including the Sindh Bar Council (SBC), Karachi Bar Association (KBA), Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA), and the Malir Bar Association (MBA), will organize a protest and long march on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 1:00 PM.

 

The march will commence at City Court and proceed to the Press Club, providing a platform for the legal fraternity to unite and advocate for the protection of the judiciary’s independence.

 

“This is a pivotal moment for the legal community in Karachi. We invite all members of the public to join us in our struggle for justice and democracy,” said a spokesperson for the organizers.

 

Participants are encouraged to bring banners and placards to voice their commitment to safeguarding the rule of law.
