Justice Irfan Sadat Acting Chief Justice confirmed for Supreme Court Vacancy

Irfan Saadat Khan, the acting chief justice of the Sindh High Court, has been proposed by the Pakistani Judicial Commission to fill a vacancy on the Supreme Court.

In this context, Pakistan’s Chief Justice Justice Qazi Faez Isa has called a meeting of the Supreme Judicial Council for Friday, October 20. The Supreme Court currently has two open seats one of which the commission will be contending to consider for Justice Irfan Saadat Khan who qualifies the foremost requirement of being senior in all the justice of High Courts.

The notification reads that Justice Aqeel Abbasi would be promoted to the position of SHC chief justice temporarily.
