Balochistan Bar Bodies Urged to Strengthen Security Measures for Lawyers

QUETTA: A special appeal has been made to the President of the Quetta Bar Association, the President of the High Court Bar Association Balochistan, and the Balochistan Bar Council to take immediate measures for the security and protection of lawyers amid growing security concerns.

The appeal highlighted that reports regarding hacking incidents are being circulated on WhatsApp groups used by lawyers on a daily basis, creating serious concern among members of the legal community. The bar leadership has been urged to take immediate notice of the matter and engage the relevant security authorities to ensure effective security arrangements for lawyers.

It was further demanded that such incidents be promptly investigated and that relevant cybercrime officials be invited to bar associations to brief lawyers on digital security, provide necessary guidance and discuss preventive measures.

The appeal also called for awareness workshops and training sessions on cyber security for lawyers, along with strict legal action against individuals involved in cybercrime and hacking activities.
