The Government of Balochistan’s Finance Department, through the Balochistan Education Endowment Fund (BEEF), has initiated steps to implement orders of the Hon’ble High Court regarding educational assistance for children of permanently disabled advocates. The directive follows Constitution Petition No. 307/2026 filed by the High Court Bar Association, Quetta, seeking provision of educational support for affected lawyers’ families across the province.
In a meeting held on April 4, 2026, the Board of Directors of BEEF reviewed the matter and was apprised of the High Court proceedings. Four advocates—Muhammad Asghar Khan Panezai, Ghulam Rasool Tareen, Naseeb Ullah Achakzai, and Attaullah Kharoti—have formally requested scholarships or educational assistance for their children under the proposed initiative.
Acting on the High Court’s decision dated March 16, 2026, BEEF has been directed to expand the scope of its fund to include such cases. The program will offer fully funded scholarships for children’s education within Pakistan up to 16 years of schooling, subject to verification requirements including CNIC, enrollment certificates, bar association certification, disability proof, and domicile documents.
