UN Selects Pakistani Lawyer as Observer for Global Marine Biodiversity Talks

The United Nations has selected Baloch Khan, Advocate of the High Court and member of KULF, to participate as an Observer in the Third Session of the Preparatory Commission for the Agreement on Marine Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ) under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

Khan’s accreditation marks a significant achievement, enabling him to engage with international delegates and experts working on the future framework for protecting marine biodiversity in areas beyond national jurisdiction. His participation highlights Pakistan’s growing representation in global environmental governance and international legal processes.
