Doha, Qatar – The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has opened applications for the Qatar Government Scholarship Programs 2026–2027. These fully funded awards are available to Qatari nationals who have completed high school or higher qualifications and are seeking undergraduate, postgraduate, or diploma-level study opportunities in Qatar or abroad.
Designed to nurture national talent and strengthen Qatar’s human capital in line with the country’s development goals, the scholarship scheme offers comprehensive financial support and diverse academic pathways.
Scholarship Pathways
The 2026–2027 program features three major categories:

Amiri Scholarship Track – Reserved for top-performing students with excellent GPAs, offering access to the world’s top 24 universities and leading institutions in Qatar. Priority is given to medicine, engineering, and innovation-related studies.

International Scholarship Track – Enables Qatari students to study at globally ranked universities across the USA, UK, Canada, Japan, Australia, and beyond. Newly included disciplines include education, professional diplomas, and programs in sports and the creative sector.

National Scholarship Track (including Tomouh Program) – Supports enrollment at accredited Qatari universities, particularly those in Education City. Key areas include medicine, engineering, computer science, health sciences, applied sciences, and related fields.
Funding & Allowances

Amiri & Medical Abroad Scholarships: Monthly stipend of QAR 8,000–12,000, annual business-class air tickets (two per year), plus a one-time QAR 40,000 relocation grant. Study years are counted towards national service.

General Overseas Scholarships: QAR 8,000 basic allowance, QAR 6,000 travel support, QAR 25,000 relocation grant, plus annual flights.
