JOB FUNCTIONS

– Legal advisory on operational, regulatory, commercial matters.

– Draft/review/negotiate contracts (services, vendors, NDAs, regulatory documents).

– Manage litigation/pre-litigation including strategy, external counsel, court follow-ups.

– Represent company with regulators, govt, law enforcement.

– Post-contract due diligence on housing societies.

– Handle police matters: FIRs, notices, investigations, compliance.

– Manage ROW: negotiations, permissions, disputes, compliance.

– Assist policy development, risk mitigation, compliance frameworks.

– Ensure compliance with telecom, competition, cybercrime, regulatory laws.

 

SKILLS, EXPERTISE AND HANDS ON EXPERIENCE

– Sound legal judgment combined with commercial awareness.

– Independent management of complex and sensitive matters.

– Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

– High level of Integrity, discretion, professionalism.

– Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, stakeholder skills.

– Legal & Regulatory Expertise required:

– Pakistan Telecom Act 1996 & rules.

– Competition Act 2010 and related law framework.

– Applicable ROW policies/procedures.

– PECA 2016 & related compliance requirements.

– Telecom ROW resolution experience.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

– LL.B (recognized); LL.M/Bar-at-Law preferred.

– Minimum 5 – 6 years of relevant experience, including as a practicing lawyer and in-house counsel within a telecommunications company.

– Experience in regulatory engagement, litigation, law enforcement.
