Packed Courtroom Witnesses Solemn Full Court Reference in Honor of Justice Irfan Saadat Khan’s Elevation to Supreme Court

In a profoundly moving ceremony that saw the Chief Justice Courtroom brimming with legal luminaries, the Full Court Reference on the eve of the elevation of Hon’ble Justice Irfan Saadat Khan from Acting Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court to a distinguished Judge of the Supreme Court unfolded with solemnity and respect. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as the event commenced with the recitation of Quranic verses, setting a tone of reverence.

President of the Sindh High Court Bar Association, Saleem Mangrio, took the podium to deliver a stirring speech, adorned with honorable words for Justice Irfan Saadat Khan. Mangrio’s eloquence echoed through the packed room, emphasizing Justice Saadat Khan’s unparalleled contributions to the legal realm during his tenure as Jurist and legal Practitioner.

Following Mangrio’s tribute, the stage was graced by key figures in the legal fraternity. The Advocate General of Sindh, in a heartfelt address, lauded Justice Saadat Khan’s unwavering commitment to justice and the rule of law. This sentiment was echoed by the Additional Advocate General, the Chairman of the Sindh Bar Council, and the Presidents of the Karachi Bar Association and the Malir Bar Association.

The Chief Justice Court room bore witness to a display of unity and camaraderie as each speaker, including the General Secretary of the Malir Bar Association, shared their perspectives on Justice Saadat Khan’s remarkable contributions to jurisprudence. The palpable sense of respect and admiration permeated the room.

The Full Court Reference, which commenced at 11:20 am, was attended by all 20 Justices of the Sindh High Court, underscoring the collective recognition of Justice Saadat Khan’s illustrious career. As the event drew to a close at 1:00 pm, Justice Saadat Khan himself addressed the gathering, expressing gratitude for the honor bestowed upon him and reflecting on the journey that led to this pivotal moment.

Notably, the newly appointed Chief Justice of Sindh, Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi, took a moment to share his words of admiration and congratulations for Justice Irfan Saadat Khan, adding a poignant touch to an event that will be etched in the annals of legal history
