The word aggrieved means a person having been unfairly treated. Civil servant defines aggrieved party as accused. In accordance with rule 2 sub-rule 1 of government servant efficiency and disciplinary rule accused means, a civil servant against whom any disciplinary action is taken under these rules. An aggrieved party can be any person whose financial, personal, or property rights or interests are adversely affected by an act of another or an order, judgment or statute. An aggrieved party is entitled to challenge the adverse decisions.
Except writ of quo warranto and habbeus corpus, writ petitions in nature of prohibition; mandamus, or certiorari can only be usual on the applications of an aggrieved party:
A party who stands to lose or gain an advantage by in observance of law is an aggrieved party. An aggrieved person is one who must have suffered a legal grievance or a person against whom a legal decision has been pronounced which has wrongfully deprived him of something either of his rights and power or has wrongfully affected his rights and interests. An aggrieved person means a man who has suffered a legal grievance.
According to Black’s law dictionary. It relates of a person or entity having legal rights which are adversely affected having been harmed by unifying army of legal rights. the party aggrieved is one whose pecuniary interest ls directly affected by the adjudication; one whose right of property may be established or divested thereby.
Even a person who has been deprived of a benefit, privilege, etca by an illegal act or omission could be considered as an aggrieved person. Person deprived of an advantage or prejudicial has been cause to him on account of failure of respondent to act in accordance with the law
