Sindh Bar Council Takes Swift Action After Attack on Advocate Arshad Awan

The Sindh Bar Council has taken swift action after the alleged assault on Advocate Arshad Iqbal Awan and his father at Malir Courts and PS Malir City.

 

Licences of several advocates have been immediately suspended, and show-cause notices have been issued to others accused of involvement. The Council also called for disciplinary action against the police officials who used excessive force and failed to register the FIR.

The SBC reaffirmed that attacks on lawyers and violations of the black coat’s dignity will not be tolerated.
