Sindh Bar Council Announces District-Wise Seat Allocation for Upcoming Elections

KARACHI, September 25, 2025 — The Returning Officer for the Sindh Bar Council (SBC) elections, Advocate General Sindh Jawad Dero, has officially declared the district-wise allocation of seats for the forthcoming elections scheduled to be held on November 1, 2025, under Section 5(2) of the Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Act, 1973.

According to the notification (Ref No. SBC/ELEC-345/2025), the seats have been distributed across five groups of districts in Sindh as follows:

  • Group I (Karachi Districts):
    Karachi South (06), Karachi Central (04), Karachi East (04), Karachi West (01), Malir (01).
  • Group II:
    Badin + Thatta (01), Dadu + Jamshoro @ Kotri (01), Hyderabad (03).
  • Group III:
    Sukkur (02), Ghotki (01), Khairpur (01), Naushahro Feroze (01), Shaheed Benazirabad/Nawabshah (01).
  • Group IV:
    Jacobabad + Kashmore @ Kandhkot (01), Larkana + Kambar/Shahdadkot (02), Shikarpur (01).
  • Group V:
    Mirpurkhas (01), Sanghar (01).

The allocation finalizes the framework for the Sindh Bar Council elections for the term 2026–2030, marking the beginning of the formal electoral process for representatives of the legal fraternity across Sindh.
