Launching Ceremony of Digi Lawyer an AI-powered legal assistant at Sindh High Court Bar Association

Karachi, 13th August, 2025: The Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA) marked a historic moment for Sindh’s legal fraternity yesterday with the launching ceremony of DigiLawyer, a pioneering digital platform for lawyers. The event was held at the newly inaugurated Bar Room of the SHCBA, drawing a large gathering of members, dignitaries, and technology partners.

The ceremony was led by Barrister Sarfaraz Ali Metlo, President of SHCBA, who described DigiLawyer as “a new chapter in Sindh’s legal history,” emphasizing its role in modernizing legal practice and making legal resources more accessible to practitioners across the province. He highlighted that the initiative reflects the association’s commitment to embracing innovation for the betterment of its members and the justice system at large.

DigiLawyer is designed as an AI-powered legal assistant that offers instant answers to legal queries, access to an extensive case law database spanning from 1947 to 2025, and a “Briefcase” feature for organizing and managing case documents. By integrating artificial intelligence into everyday legal work, the platform aims to save time, reduce costs, and enhance the efficiency of legal research and case preparation.

The launch of DigiLawyer has been hailed as a strategic step towards empowering the legal community with cutting-edge tools, reducing barriers to legal information, and promoting a culture of technology-driven advocacy. According to SHCBA representatives, the platform is expected to significantly improve the speed and accuracy of case handling, benefitting both lawyers and litigants.

Looking ahead, SHCBA plans to collaborate with other bar associations to expand DigiLawyer’s reach across Pakistan. The long-term vision includes nationwide deployment, ensuring that lawyers in all provinces can access AI-driven legal resources and contribute to building a more efficient and unified legal system.
