Karachi Bar Association Protests Against Illegal Arrests and Kidnappings

Karachi, August 24, 2024 – The Karachi Bar Association organized a protest rally today against the illegal arrests and kidnappings of lawyers and the general public. The demonstration saw a significant turnout, with senior lawyers joining in solidarity to voice their concerns over the alarming rise in abductions.

Participants in the rally expressed their deep frustration over the increasing number of kidnappings that have plagued the city over the past year. They criticized the state for its perceived inaction and silence on the matter, arguing that such negligence only exacerbates the crisis.

Senior members of the legal fraternity took the opportunity to address the rally, condemning the unlawful detentions and pledging to continue their protest until the issue is resolved. “We stand united against these unjust acts and demand immediate action from the authorities,” said one of the senior lawyers.

The Karachi Bar Association has vowed to persist in its protests until the state takes concrete steps to address the issue and ensure the safety of its citizens.
