Justice Muhammad Shafi Siddiqui Takes Oath as Acting Chief Justice of Sindh High Court

Karachi, June 25, 2024 – Yesterday, in the Committee Room of the Sindh High Court, Karachi, the oath-taking ceremony of Justice Muhammad Shafi Siddiqui took place. He was sworn in as the Acting Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court following the elevation of Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi to the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

Justice Muhammad Shafi Siddiqui, known for his distinguished service and legal expertise, has a notable career trajectory. He was enrolled as an Advocate of Subordinate Courts in 1992, an Advocate of High Courts in 1994, and an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan in 2008. His extensive experience and commitment to the legal profession have been pivotal in his rise through the judicial ranks.

The ceremony was attended by prominent figures from the legal community and other dignitaries, highlighting the significance of this appointment. Justice Siddiqui’s tenure is expected to provide stability and continuity to the Sindh High Court’s operations.
